New Yorker Sterling has been the bantamweight champion since 2021.

He has a 23-3 record and has won nine matches since the start of 2018. Some of his victories include fights against Pedro Munhoz, Cory Sandhagen, Petr Yan, TJ Dillashaw, and Henry Cejudo. He has already matched the record for UFC bantamweight title defenses. He will look to make history at the TD Garden.

Sugar O’Malley, who has a record of 16-1, will try to prevent Yan from becoming the champion.

Besides the Sterling vs. O’Malley title fight, another title fight will be between China’s Zhang Weili and Brazilian veteran Amanda Lemos on the same night. Zhang Weili will defend her straw weight crown, while Amanda Lemos will have her first shot at a title. In the main card, the Ecuadorian Marlon Chito Vera will also fight against Pedro Munhoz from São Paulo.
